Oh man, was Kristen and Danny’s wedding ever way to much fun. The Reception in and itself was a total blast. It’s the first wedding I’ve been to where they played a whole bunch of songs that do the group dancing.. like Cotton Eyed Joe {I love love love that song!}. Not to mention the Ceremony was so beautiful, they even included Kristen’s grandmother in the ceremony! It was literally a day jam packed with jokes, laughing, and a totally relaxing time {well more at the start, after the ceremony it was just one big party.. which umm is awesome.. who doesn’t want one big party for their reception right?!}

I know it’s been forever since I update my blog! But now that wedding season is back in swing I need to update and show you guys some pictures from Angela and Derek’s Wedding! This wedding was so much fun! Despite the rain it was still laid back and a blast. It was held at the Bear Mountain Inn in Waterford Maine. If you haven’t been there or checked out their website you have to! It was crazy pretty up there and fit Angela and Derek perfectly. And let me tell you, the details for this wedding were crazy fun! It was such a great way to kick off Wedding Season. Ok ok I’m rambling!

It’s that time of year it seems… A rush on birthdays. I didn’t have a chance to post Kyra’s birthday pictures (but of course I will now). And it seems from now until September every month has at least one birthday if not two or three!
So around here at Barefotos, we’re in Engagement season mode and now Birthday mode. So if you’re celebrating a Birthday any time soon, let us know! We absolutley love birthdays. I think of it this way….It’s an entire day dedicated to you, who doesn’t want their own Holiday..I know I do!
In other non-Birthday news (boring I know) We’re going to be putting a mini-session together for Early April (hopefully it’ll be warm then)! Details to follow so stay tuned.

This morning I decided to take a trip down memory lane and look at all the pictures I have of my puggle (half pug half beagle….but I swear shes also part energizer bunny), Kyra. She’ll be 10 months old tomorrow, and let me tell you time flies! Which then led to a blog about dogs!
I’m totally a dog friendly photographer, and love love love bringing them on board to any and all shoots! Kyra is pretty much my helper with any and all things, even the photography. When I need a break from editing, shes there to remind me it’s time to walk her. If I need someone to look at awesome pictures she always lends and eye. Not to mention she loves to sit and watch me edit all the photos and sometimes comes on photo shoots with me, which is always a blast! I can’t imagine doing all this without her help!
So if you’re thinking about including your dog in your wedding or portrait session I say let’s do it! How can it not be ten times more fun with your best friend running around entertaining everyone? Nantucket weddings in the early fall are so beautiful!! We couldn’t get over how picturesque Nantucket is, it was both of our first time there and we can’t wait to go back!
Catherine and Robert were such an awesome couple to work with, I loved their idea of going to a lighthouse for some wedding pictures of just the two of them, it made such awesome memories for them (and me!). Dan would totally agree with me that this was one of the best ways to finish up wedding season. Great people, awesome pictures, and a beautiful day…. who could ask for more?!

Here it is, the first entry in our new blog! I’m so excited that we’ve finally created this awesome layout. I was thinking a lot on what to actually write for a first entry, It’s one of those really big entries because well, it’s the first. So I’ve decided to go back to our roots a bit and post one of my favorite pictures that have nothing to do with Weddings.
I started off photographing everything and anything and had a blast doing it. There’s something special about capturing a moment that most people don’t know are happening, which in turn made Wedding Photography the Next logical step for me. A wedding has so many beautiful moments that go unnoticed, and it’s my job to find and capture each of those.
Oh! And! Because I have favorite weddings that I can’t not post, I’m going to post a few of my favorites in their own respective blog posts! It’s going to Rock!
